Meeting point for lovers of handcrafted chocolate – Numerous exhibitors present their specialties from countries around the equator – Workshops and tasting areas as well as an art gallery are offered alongside lectures, panel discussions and tastings, including an exhibition of cocoa art
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of HOUSE OF CACAO MUNICH, the crème de la crème of the international craft-chocolate scene will meet at the first Munich Chocolate Festival in Pineapple Park on October 24th and 25th, 2026. At MUCHO - Munich Chocolate Festival, the founders Marita and Christine Luger together with MIDNIGHTBAZAR will present high-quality Tree-to-Bar and Bean-to-Bar chocolates.

Inform, taste and purchase
When traveling through the world of fine cocoa, the journey takes you from Ecuador, Peru, Hawaii, Uganda, Madagascar, Thailand and Indonesia. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of handcrafted chocolates, get to know cocoa and chocolate producers personally and taste and purchase their products. At MUCHO, women cocoa farmers from Peru and Venezuela will also be present, presenting their own chocolates and being available to answer all visitors' questions. You can only get closer to the source in the growing country itself.

Chocolate festival for the 25th anniversary
25 years ago, Christine Luger's love of high-quality, handcrafted chocolate was born at HOUSE OF CACAO on Munich's Viktualienmarkt. Today, her daughter, Marita Luger, runs the business. The two women's passion for really good chocolate remains unbroken, but now it starts directly with the cocoa.

The small shop can no longer accommodate all chocolate stars – unlike MUCHO - Munich Chocolate Festival. Now, the two women are fulfilling their dream and celebrating their 25th anniversary together with over 40 exhibitors, including cocoa farmers and craft-chocolate manufacturers from all over the world, and inviting all chocolate lovers to this special event. Chocolatiers who have already confirmed their participation include ZOTTER from Austria, MANOA from Hawaii, PACCARI from Ecuador, PARADAÌ from Thailand, FRIIS HOLM from Denmark, CHOKLAD ZIMMER, CHOCO DEL SOL, POTT AU CHOCOLAT and JAKAO from Germany, as well as TRULY CRAFT CHOCOLATE and DJOON from Munich, with their handmade date pralines.
The planned pairings, in which chocolate is tasted together with wine, bread, cheese, etc., will take place in cooperation with Munich retailers and manufacturers such as VINI PURI, The Duke Gin, the Munich cheese manufacturer, BROTRAUM or Goodbean Coffee.
There are only a few places available for the pairings, which can be purchased as an additional ticket. So, it is worth acting quickly.

A location that invites you to enjoy
MUCHO has found an ideal partner in "Pineapple Park" in the Hirschgarten in the MIDNIGHTBAZAR. This allows the festival to take place in a unique location in the old postal post hall, which not only invites you to enjoy, but also offers enough space for further educational offers. The team of MIDNIGHTBAZAR is able to combine its markets in a relaxed atmosphere with sufficient space for further educational offers. So, the two existing stages, the workshop/tasting areas and the art gallery are used for lectures, panel discussions, tastings and the exhibition of cocoa art. At the same time, there is enough space for relaxing with seating, adjoining bars and food trucks - the perfect setting to immerse yourself in the world of tree-to-bar and bean-to-bar chocolates, handcrafted pralines and ceremonial cocoa. Anyone who secures one of the limited Early-Bird tickets now will receive a free place at one of the exclusive tastings.
